When Clean Space approached me, they were starting from a familiar position for many small service businesses: they had a solid brand foundation with a logo and an active Facebook presence—but no website.

That gap matters more than ever. A business without a website risks losing trust, visibility, and ultimately, customers who expect to find and validate services online within seconds.

This project was about changing that quickly, strategically, and without unnecessary complexity.

The Challenge

Clean Space needed a professional online presence that could:

  • Build trust with higher-value homeowners
  • Clearly communicate their services
  • Generate inbound enquiries
  • Be easy to manage without ongoing developer support

They didn’t need something over-engineered. They needed something effective.

The Strategy

Instead of defaulting to a fully custom WordPress build, I made a deliberate decision to use Squarespace.

Why?

Because in this case, speed and simplicity were more valuable than flexibility.

Squarespace allowed me to:

  • Launch quickly with a solid, modern foundation
  • Avoid unnecessary development time
  • Provide the client with a system they could realistically manage themselves
  • Focus effort where it actually matters: messaging, layout, and conversion

This wasn’t about the platform, it was about choosing the right tool for the job.

The Process

1. Structuring the Offer

With no existing website, everything had to be built from the ground up. That meant defining:

  • Core services (regular cleans, one-offs, specialist services)
  • Clear value propositions
  • A structure that guides users toward enquiry

2. Designing for Trust

The target audience—homeowners with disposable income—expect a certain level of presentation.

So the design focused on:

  • Clean, minimal layouts
  • Strong spacing and readability
  • Clear hierarchy of information
  • Subtle visual cues that communicate professionalism

3. Writing for Conversion

Good design without clear messaging doesn’t convert.

Each section was written to:

  • Address real customer concerns
  • Emphasise reliability and quality
  • Reduce friction in taking action

4. Rapid Build & Launch

Using Squarespace meant I could move from concept to live site quickly, without compromising on quality.

The result is a site that feels polished, focused, and aligned with the business—without months of development.

The Outcome

Clean Space now has:

  • A professional online presence they can confidently share
  • A central hub for all services and enquiries
  • Improved credibility with their target market
  • A platform that supports growth without adding complexity

Most importantly, they’ve moved from being “just another local service on Facebook” to a business that feels established and trustworthy.

Key Takeaway

Not every project needs a complex build.

Sometimes the smartest move is choosing speed, clarity, and usability over technical depth.

This project is a good example of that balance—using the right platform, focusing on what matters, and delivering something that works.

If you’re in a similar position, running a solid service business but lacking a website that reflects it, this is exactly the kind of transformation that’s possible with the right approach.
